Green Bear Group helped bring BASF and the Seattle Mariners together
to promote zero waste in the greater Seattle area, designing and
developing Sustainable Saturdays, the first season-long, green fan
engagement campaign in North American professional sports. By
engaging fans and employing volunteers, BASF was able to show an
increase in sustainability and waste management practices and positive
brand affinity.

Creating a campaign with the Seattle Mariners not only brought focus to sustainable operations at SafeCo Field, but also boosted composting and environmental awareness by 30%.

Fan Engagement
By touting the accomplishments of stadium operations, we educated Mariners fans, young and old about their environmental impact and carbon footprint. Using strategic design, Green Bear was able to create a campaign to get fans out of their seats and helped evolve their way we thinking about the community and the environment.
